TASP provides a range of evidence based support services to help individuals and families suffering as a consequence of drug and/or alcohol issues. Our support team has extensive training in a range of interventions and we pride ourselves on providing a competent, professional service responsive to your individual needs.
Our key-working service offers practical supports to individuals with drug or alcohol issues. If you access this part of our service you will be assigned a named key-worker who will meet with you regularly to help you achieve your personal goals as agreed in your care-plan. Your key-worker will advocate for you with other support agencies and assist you in matters of housing, employment, health and mental health supports. Your Key-worker can also assist you with accessing residential/detoxification services
Individuals suffering as a result of drug and alcohol issues often have need some form of psychotherapeutic support. TASP can refer you to one of its counsellors or help you access another appropriate service.
Family members, partners and concerned significant others (CSOs) of those with addiction issues often have their own support needs. Our partner family support service (SWAN) has been supporting family members of those with addiction issues since (est. 2001)
We offer a number of complimentary therapies through our SWAN centre including Reiki, auricular acupuncture, head massage and reflexology.
TASP hosts a weekly clinic in partnership with Dr Garrett McGovern. If you have a heroin or opiate issue that requires medical treatment, please contact a member of the team.
TASP offers support groups for a variety of issues. We are happy to host AA/NA meetings on request.
TASP runs a twelve week therapeutic group for individuals struggling with alcohol use. Participants attend three days a week and can access a weekly recovery group upon successful completion of the programme.
In collaboration with other projects TASP offers Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. DBT can be of great help to individuals suffering emotional dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation and substance use.

Confidentiality Statement: TASP maintains its own records that are strictly confidential and fully compliant with GDPR. We submit anonymised data to the Health Research Board. We will discuss our confidentiality agreement with you at your appointment.
